Spring and Summer Farm Tours mean hot days. Bring a water bottle, a hat, and get ready to learn about regenerative agriculture. Tour starts at 11 am. Show up by 10:45 to get signed in. Dogs are welcome on the tour, but should be calm on leash. Total walking distance is approximately 2 miles total.
Join us for a hands on workshop to make plaited table mats. Central Mexican rodilleros mats are used for kneeling on when grinding corn . When new, they have a delightful grassy scent, and a muted variable green color. The technique involves smacking the strips with a cobble, so this will be a noisy workshop! Charlie Kennard of San Anselmo is a long-time basket weaver and student of California Indian and other traditional basketry techniques. He has taught for the Point Reyes Field Institute, East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden, and more. His work can be found at many museums from the Bay Model in Sausalito to the Oakland Museum. Charlie has created a basketry plant garden at the Marin Art and Garden Center and he is active in native habitat restoration in Marin.
EVENT SOLD OUT. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. EMAIL FARMHOUSE@TARAFIRMAFARMS.COM TO VOLUNTEER!
“A magical Petaluma tradition where memories are made.”
The festivities start in the afternoon with great food, live music and pumpkin carving. Everyone will get the chance to display their Jack-O-Lantern on a pike in the corn field. When the sun goes down the pumpkins are lit. It is a truly heartwarming feeling looking over the glowing corn field to see the individual creations of all who attend. This is a fundraiser for our non-profit, providing education on regenerative agriculture to the community and youth.
FREE pumpkin included with admission.

Every year, we raise the finest organically fed, pasture raised Broad Breasted Turkeys, just in time for Thanksgiving. Now you can reserve your turkey with us and make your Thanksgiving extra special with the best bird you can get. Raised stress-free on our organic pastures and fed on organic feed.
The reservation requires a $50 deposit. Final cost is $9/lb.
This was our goal from the start and we can now proudly declare that our eggs, fruits and vegetables grown out here on the farm are organic. With all of the false information the food industry throws at us, (i.e. Natural, which means nothing), when it is labeled organic, we know it is safe to feed our children.
Don’t forget to join our CSA to get the best deals and up to the date information on the farm and local food.
